Starting a session
Sayply does not join your call as a separate participant and does not connect to anything — it listens to your computer. That is why the steps are the same for WhatsApp, Telegram, Zoom, Google Meet, your telephony softphone or any other application.
Steps
- Open Sayply before the call starts.
- Mark the category — work or personal — and the type of conversation: voice or video. These are tags for your own records; they do not change how the call is processed.
- Pick the languages for yourself and for the other side.
- Press the button that starts the session.
- Make the call as usual.
The transcript appears immediately, with your lines and the other side's lines marked separately. Next to it you see the session timer and the minutes left for the month.
The cue window
While you talk, Sayply shows cues in a separate narrow window on top of everything else. It is click-through — the mouse passes straight through it — and it is excluded from screen sharing, so the other side never sees the cues.
Ending the call
End the session, and the summary window opens right away.
Worth knowing
- Audio is not stored: sound becomes text on the fly and is never written anywhere. What remains is the transcript, the summary and the tasks.
- Minutes are counted by session length, not by the number of words. If you forget to end the session, minutes keep being spent.
- If you can barely hear the other side, so can Sayply: recognition is never better than the connection.
