Installing Sayply
Sayply is a Windows application. You install it on the computer you make calls from — no browser extension, and no access to your calls in third-party services.
What you need
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
- A Sayply account. If you do not have one yet, create it: free minutes are added right away and no card is required.
- A microphone and speakers or a headset — the same ones you use for calls.
Installation
- Open Sayply in Microsoft Store and click Get.
- Start Sayply from the Start menu.
- In the sign-in window enter your email and password, or use the Google sign-in.
Once you are signed in, the app shows how many minutes are left this month.
What happens to sound during a session
- Sayply hears every audio output of your computer. Music or a video playing at the same time ends up in the other side's channel, so pause it during a call.
- Windows turns other sounds down while a session is running. That is how Windows treats calls — your calling app does the same thing.
- On Windows 11 the system removes the echo of your speakers from the microphone, so the other person is not transcribed twice. Windows 10 has no such effect: use a headset for the cleanest transcript.
- If an app keeps the microphone open all the time (for example Discord with voice activity), Sayply may pick that microphone — close the app or change its input.
Next steps
- Pick the languages before a call — nothing affects recognition quality more.
- Run your first session.
